Graybridge Malkam offers training and consulting for companies that understand that mentoring and success go hand in hand. Please note that separate programs can be developed for both the mentor and those being mentored.

Mentoring for Diversity for organizations that want to eliminate the “glass ceiling” or the barrier to advancement experienced by members of certain groups because of prejudice. Organizations can foster creativity and good communication within their diverse workforces through the marriage of a mentoring program and diversity training. Participants will:

  • Learn to appreciate the impact of diversity on mentoring.
  • Build skills in communicating across generational, cultural or gender differences.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen relationships.
  • Examine special mentoring situations.

Mentoring for Mentors or Mentees for individuals who want to acquire the skills and understanding necessary for a successful mentoring relationship. They will:

  • Identify roles and responsibilities.
  • Examine the integral components of the mentoring relationship.
  • Identify the benefits of mentoring for the mentor and mentee.
  • Develop strategies for managing the relationship.
  • Learn how to communicate more effectively.

Coaching
Graybridge Malkam offers one-on-one coaching interventions for individuals who are seeking to build their competence in one or several of our areas of expertise. Coaches will be matched to our client’s particular requirement. Coaching sessions can be delivered at our Graybridge Malkam Training Centre in Ottawa or other location, as required.

Research and Consulting in Mentoring
Since February 2003, Graybridge Malkam has been providing coaching, training and consultation to the Defence Research and Development Canada “Mentoring Implementation Committee” towards the development and launching of a mentoring program customized to respond to their specific context and requirements.

In 2001, Graybridge Malkam conducted interviews, analyzed data and provided recommendations to a federal government client for a National Mentoring Program Strategy.
