Louise Owen
Learning Specialist

Based in Victoria, British Columbia, Louise Owen is an intercultural training consultant with fifteen years of experience in facilitation, mediation, conflict resolution and curriculum design. She has worked for a variety of government, non-government, and private sector organizations in Canada, Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe and the Caribbean.

Louise works as a Graybridge Malkam facilitator for the Center for Intercultural Learning under the auspices of Foreign Affairs Canada and International Trade Canada. She has also worked in the diversity field for various school boards and the Ministry of Children and Family Development in Victoria, as well as an online facilitator for the Certificate Program in Intercultural Studies at the University of British Columbia.

Louise received a Master of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and has an undergraduate degree in Comparative Development Studies and Cultural Anthropology from Trent University. She is a Member of the British Columbia's Mediator Roster and Registered Practitioner in Dispute Resolution at the Canadian Institute of Applied Negotiations.
