Margaret Giles-Munday
WSIB Instructor |
|
Margaret received her early academic and business education in England; she obtained her Literacy Practitioners’ Certificate and her Certificate for Teaching English as a Second Language from
Algonquin College in Ottawa. She immigrated first to Canada and then relocated to the Middle East where she spent fifteen years living and absorbing the Saudi Arabian culture. As well as being employed
by the Canadian Embassy in Jeddah, she tutored ESL to Saudi and foreign nationals. Returning to Canada, she became involved in teaching ESL within the Ottawa-Carleton School Board and as a community
service volunteer teaching ESL and basic literacy upgrading. In addition to her position at Graybridge-Malkam, she also provides teaching assistance to the Ottawa-Carleton School Boards and the
Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO). Margaret’s business, literacy and ESL teaching skills and her acquired knowledge from living and working in a foreign country, bring
a diverse range of instruction and cultural respect to the classroom.
