| I started on an exciting linguistic journey when I discovered the French language in Winnipeg, Manitoba over twenty years ago. My passion for this language and others led me to pursue an undergraduate degree in French at the University of Manitoba. Having suffered through one too many “Winnipeg winters”, I decided to head for more humane climates; I took the opportunity to travel and teach English in France before choosing Ottawa as my new home. With a Master's degree in French literature from the University of Ottawa, I spent over five years teaching at the Alliance Française of the National Capital region. I finally decided to undertake a degree in education in order to explore new challenges and experience the public school system in Ontario. Since August 2006 I have had the privilege of working with a great team of teachers from Graybridge Malkam at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, hiking and playing squash with friends. |
