A life-long lover of ideas, communication, and languages, I have combined
my two professions of teaching and librarianship in a number of situations
over the years. My graduate degrees in second-language teaching and in
librarianship have led me to work in places as different and enjoyable
as tiny Inuit villages in northern Quebec, and an international secondary
school in the middle of Rome, Italy, far from my home base of Montreal.
Eclectic would describe my teaching style: conversation, authentic materials,
grammar support, and a mix of resources both print and electronic are
all in my bag of tricks. My own (very amateur!) abilities in theatre,
music, and poetry also influence my classes in English and/or French with
my students. We laugh, we think, we discuss, we learn.
