Normande has been a trainer and a facilitator since 1980. She works particularly in the field of non-formal education, train-the-trainer, team building, community development and intercultural effectiveness. Her international assignments brought her to work in Ex-Yougoslavia, Columbia, Sénégal, Ghana, Costa Rica, India, Tunisia, Mali and Jordan. She is fully trilingual speaking French, English and Spanish. Normande worked at Canada World Youth for over 10 years as field staff trainer, evaluation and learning specialist. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Cégep Marie-Victorin, she developed the curriculum for a diploma in intercultural relations and community development. She designs and delivers programs in intercultural conflict resolution, results-based management, time and stress management, intercultural effectiveness, team work and evaluation of learning in the public and private sectors. Most recently, Normande has been a key Graybridge Malkam facilitator for the Centre for Intercultural Learning at Foreign Affairs Canada and International Trade Canada. She has also designed and delivered training for the NetCorps program, Industry Canada, Katimavik, Development and Peace, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and different School Boards and colleges. Normande holds a Bachelor in Social Sciences (Recreology) with a minor in Group Dynamics from Ottawa University. She obtained a diploma in Adult Education at St. Francis Xavier University and is studying to complete her Masters Degree in Distance Education at l'Université du Québec à Montréal. She also holds certificates in "Management Issues for Intercultural Educators" from the School for International Training and "Management of Non-Profit Organizations" from Gestion Nord-Sud. |
